Dr. Ramin Hakimi
With education and experience that crosses borders, Dr. Ramin Hakimi enjoys providing dental care to all clients. He has a strong focus on prosthetic dentistry, both conventional and implant-supported.
Dr. Hakimi received his DMD degree from Tehran University’s Faculty of Dentistry in 1991. He has been practicing dentistry and divided his time between clinical dentistry, research, and teaching since then.
When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hakimi spends much of his time taking photos, scuba diving, and exploring the outdoors with his wife.
Dr. Carole-Anne Gauthier
Dr. Carole-Anne Gauthier recently made the move to HRM with her family, bringing her expertise and compassionate approach to her new community. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Montreal in 2016 and has spent the past eight years in a dynamic practice in Montreal.
Patients appreciate her attention to detail, delicacy, calm demeanor, and genuine human touch. She speaks fluently in English and French.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Gauthier enjoys engaging in outdoor activities, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with her family.
Dr. Gauthier is excited to continue her dentistry journey in Nova Scotia. She cant wait to meet you!
Elaine Babin Office Administrator
Elaine is originally from Yarmouth but has lived in Cole Harbour since 2004. She has many years of experience working in both the medical and dental fields. Elaine is the technology whiz in our office. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two amazing teenagers!
Michelle Wolthers Office Administrator
Michelle has been in the dental field for 27 years, 21 of those as a dental assistant. She joined our team in the fall of 2023, Michelle has said she hopes to work with Alliance Dental until her retirement. We want her too as well! Come to our office and you can tell she loves what she does, and truly enjoys her relationships with our patients. In her spare time, she enjoys being home with her hubby, teenage sons, and their 4 dogs.
Susan Clarke Dental Assistant
Susan has been an assistant for 26 years. She is the most organized person we know. We couldn’t run the clinic without her! Susan loves interacting with our patients and knows everyone’s name!
When not in the office she loves spending time with her family, either enjoying the warmer weather or on the ski hill.
Kritika Kaushal Jain Dental Assistant
Kritika is an experienced dental professional with a robust background in dentistry and clinical research. After earning a dental degree and practicing as a dentist in India for two years, she transitioned to work with a clinical trial team, gaining valuable insights into research methodologies and patient care protocols. Having relocated to Canada in 2023, she is now a Registered Dental Assistant with our practice. With a deep commitment to excellence in patient care and a passion for continuous learning, she is eager to bring her expertise to the Canadian dental field. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures, as well as expressing creativity through drawings.
Victoria Huestis Dental Hygienist
Victoria studied Dental Hygiene at Dalhousie University, where she is now a part time dental hygiene clinical instructor.
Victoria has been working with Alliance since 2018. She is very passionate about preventative dentistry; she tailors her patient care to each patient’s specific needs.
When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, weightlifting, paddle boarding and traveling the world.
Emily Murphy Dental Hygienist
Emily started her dental career in 2014 as a Certified Dental Assistant, after graduating from Camosun College. As a dental assistant she gained valuable knowledge and experience working in different specialities, such as Pediatrics, General Dentistry, Endodontics and Forensics. Emily found herself most passionate about preventative dentistry and client education, and decided to return to school to pursue a career as a Dental Hygienist. Emily graduated from the Canadian National Institute of Health in 2019, with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene with Honours and has been apart of the Alliance Dental team since! Emily has a special passion for working with children and is committed to providing exceptional patient experiences. Outside of work, she spends her free time with her husband, son and their two beloved dogs.
Veronique Ngyuen Dental Hygienist
Originally from Winnipeg Manitoba, Veronique joined our incredible hygiene team after graduating from Dalhousie’s dental hygiene program. Veronique is very passionate about her role as a dental hygienist and the care she provides. When she is not working, you can find her playing the violin at the symphony orchestra, trying new recipes, spending time with family and friends.
